Podcast | Talking Net Zero with the Church of England

Inspiring churches to take action and care for our climate
In the sixth episode of our Beyond Funding podcast series, we engage in a thought-provoking conversation with Julian Atkins, Net Zero Programme Director for the Church of England. We explore the wider climate crisis, discuss the Church of England’s plan to achieve Net Zero by 2030, and talk through actionable steps churches can take to reduce their carbon footprint.

Benefact Trust has committed £1.5m over two years towards the Church of England’s Demonstrator Churches project, which is part of its wider net zero plan. This project will equip and empower churches across the UK to demonstrate good net zero practices and inspire other churches of all denominations.

Julian offers his creative solutions for churches wanting to do their bit and emphasises how, together, we can all make an impact on our environment.

The sixth Beyond Funding podcast: ‘Talking Net Zero with the Church of England - Practical Steps for Churches’ is available on Youtube and Spotify.
